Since EDTA chelation seems to be the best way to remove heavy metals, one question we may ask is, what are the sources of heavy metals? ...since your health will come from less intake of, and more output of, heavy metals.
One answer to that, of which I was recently made aware, is that many commercially available fertilizers are contaminated with heavy metals. Thus the "food supply" may be contaminated, or, more generically, botanicals of any kind, grown commercially, which were fertilized with commercial fertilizers, are most probably contaminated with heavy metals.
Obviously different botanicals will have different "uptake rates", with some parts of some plants exhibiting higher concentrations of heavy metals.
Then, there is how they are processed and consumed, arriving at some ultimate "bioavailability to be poisoned" rating, for each input to the human system... which brings us to: a factoid I recently saw which triggered this line of thinking:
"Approximately 25% of the commercially available pot has been grown hydroponically with commercial fertilizers. Therefore, those who imbibe are at high risk for heavy metal poisoning."
Therefore, I conclude, that for those who choose to consume, the addition of an EDTA treatment regimen is mandatory, unless they organically grow their own.
I'm continuing to enjoy my arteriosclerosis chelation program, and continue to refer people to http://divservices.com.
