The Third Dimension: Linear, Karmic, Veiled

The physical world/dimension and the physical bodies we "live in" exist in what we refer to as the "lower" three dimensions: up-down, left-right, forward-backwards, or if you're flying: yaw, pitch and roll. Only in the physical world do we experience the "separation" of physical distance within the dimensions of "space". Science has labeled time as the "fourth dimension" whereas metaphysicans are more likely to relate to it as the "zeroeth" dimension, calling the fourth dimension/density as the emotional/astral "plane". Regardless your numbering scheme, time is a property of the physical world also, yielding separations into past, present, and future. Time is experienced primarily in the physical world as "linear", proceeding only continuously in one direction, whereas in higher dimensions/densities everything is just here now in an eternally evolving "isness".

Karma, a term simply meaning "cause and effect", a metaphysical equivalent of the physical world's Newtonian concept of "every action produces an equal and opposite reaction" in simple mechanics, is by nature of being existant in all dimensions/densities, something we experience in the physical world, but because it transcends dimensional separations, may evidence the "effects" side of "cause and effect" in the physical while the "cause" side often originates in a higher dimension.

To many people living on Terra at this time, especially in "modern" "western" "scientific" cultures, the predominant perception is that of rational scientific materialism applied within a context of belief in a single physical objective reality. Fortunately that "science" finally advanced far enough that quantum physicians discovered that there is no single objective reality. Just what exactly is beyond a material objective reality is seldom discovered, because that which exists is simply a matter of "higher dimensions" or metaphysics, and is predominantly not experienced through material science. For most people living now in the "Diamond Yuga" the nether worlds have been vieled, as we had been living in the "Kali Yuga", the age of darkness, where we had simultaneously reached a relative peak in scientific materialism but a valley in spiritual awareness. As we transition into the "New Age", the "Aquarian Age", the veils are beginning to lift, and we are witnessing many becoming aware of other dimensions. There is however, a danger of gross illusion, as the next step up from material consciousness is astral awareness, which is subject to all the illusions and distortions of 3space. Until an adept rises to consciousness of the aetheric/etheric/spiritual/5th Dimension there is danger of illusion in perception, influence by "hungry ghosts", and deception by the forces of darkness.
